The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) began in 1999 at the University of California as the first competition to promote entrepreneurial start-ups which provided clearly measurable social benefits.

The GSVC has since gone truly global to include Columbia Business School, the Indian School of Business, Yale School of Management, the University of Geneva, Thammasat University in Thailand and the London Business School.

The purpose of GSVC is to support the creation of successful social ventures around the world.  Each year the GSVC rewards social ventures that are most likely to succeed in accomplishing their financial and social missions.

BrightMind LABS was proud to be announed Global Winner at the international finalist presnetations held at the Haas School of Business, Berkeley in April 2009.  Since winning this award, the team have gone on to bring the project to fruition – and are proud to be making a difference for children.
