MyFriendQuest Clinical Study

The MyFriendQuest Pilot Clinical Study has now commenced.  This study includes children aged between five and 13 – and with an existing diagnosis of either High Functioning Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

This research will take around six months to complete – and will involve pre and post psychometric testing with scheduled use of MyFriendQuest for the duration of the research.  A big thank you to the many families who expressed interest in participating in this study.  We were unable to include all the interested families – mainly because an existing diagnosis is a prerequisite for involvement, and because the families must be within a reasonable distance of the Clinical Psychologists who will conduct the assessments.

We plan to have the results of this pilot study available from the researchers by the end of April 2010 – and the aim is to present a paper including the findings at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists 2010 Congress in early May.

If you are in a position to attend the RANZCP 2010 Congress, it will be held between 2 May and 6 May with full details on the Congress website here >>>.
